Solutions Architect / Presales UK Telco Customers
Zearch are delighted to be assisting a leading cloud-based GIS platform in the search for a highly skilled Solutions Architect to support our client\’s Sales team in engaging with tier 1 and tier 2 prospects and customers. This role involves leading architectural discussions, understanding customer challenges, and presenting tailored solutions that align with their needs. As the primary technical point of contact (SPOC), the Solutions Architect will provide expert guidance, rapidly address technical inquiries, and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver compelling product demonstrations. Additionally, this role will support technical compliance analysis, including RFx processes, ensuring accurate responses while balancing customer expectations with deliverable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions throughout the sales cycle, ensuring key deliverables align with customer needs.
- Meet with potential and existing customers to gain a deep understanding of their business challenges and technical objectives.
- Develop and present customized product demonstrations that provide an impactful first impression and highlight key solution capabilities.
- Define and oversee integrations between our client’s products and third-party solutions in collaboration with partners.
- Maintain and optimize demo and test environments for presales activities, ensuring smooth and effective presentations.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to track, communicate, and prioritize product improvement requests.
- Support technical compliance processes, including RFx responses, by providing accurate and well-balanced solutions.
- Assist delivery teams in estimating work for customizations, training, and additional service requests, ensuring a seamless transition from presales to implementation.
- Contribute to the preparation of new product launches, ensuring readiness for market adoption.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in our client’s software solutions, enabling in-depth understanding of technical sales engagements.
- Ability to create and deliver impactful Proof of Concepts (POCs) and demonstrations to diverse audiences, from technical experts to senior management.
- Solid technical background, including experience with:
- SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQLite.
- Docker containers and related deployment technologies.
- Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and web mapping technologies (preferred).
- ETL tools such as Safe Software’s FME, GeoKettle, or relevant Python libraries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of adapting solutions to fit a variety of customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Flexibility in managing time effectively and willingness to travel as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the technology industry, including at least 3 years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally working with enterprise-level clients.
