Zearch are pleased to be assisting a high growth leader in the GeoSpatial/GIS business in the search for a Data Architect to take a key role in leveraging geospatial data as a strategic asset. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Data Services team and external partners to evaluate and refine customer data. Your focus will be on identifying gaps and implementing solutions that enhance or transform data models. The right person will help build a strong, accurate data foundation, improving the functionality and performance of the geospatial network manager and delivering real value to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to assess and document data from their customer interaction systems.
- Conduct data audits to identify essential elements supporting data model designs.
- Develop GIS models by transforming client data into our client's structure using Python, Perl, Safe FME, and proprietary tools.
- Manage automated data ingestion to process and transform client data efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on data architecture and model configurations.
- Work closely with clients to implement data governance practices and ensure data accuracy and compliance with security standards (e.g., PII, PCI).
- Lead the deployment of new data models in our client’s product environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize data sources based on business goals.
- Ensure compliance with data collection and transfer design standards.
- Design GIS data models focusing on aligning business goals with data insights.
- Work alongside CSO project managers and tech leads on projects involving enterprise data sources.
- Create scalable and automated ETL solutions for data management using industry-standard tools.
Skills:
- Proven experience in data architecture, including the design, management, and manipulation of large-scale datasets.
- Strong hands-on experience with structured and unstructured data, particularly in data mining and analysis.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python and Perl, with the ability to work with high-level scripts and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of relational data structures and the principles behind them.
- Experience with GIS and network design solutions such as CAD, Smallworld, and ESRI.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, especially SAFE FME, and strong attention to data privacy and security practices.
- Exposure to analytic and reporting tools, enhancing the ability to turn data into valuable business insights.
- Strong customer-facing abilities, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
