ZEALOT is an international creative agency with offices in London, NY and LA, specialising in the film and television industry across trailers, TV spots, social/digital, promos and print. We are looking for a talented Junior-Level Motion Designer to join our growing and vibrant team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about all things design, with a strong desire to learn and a passion to continually improve and push themselves creatively. The role will report to our Design Creative Director and they will join a growing team at a very exciting time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execution of motion graphics to a high standard for a variety of projects for high-level clients.
  • Problem solving and coming up with solutions to creative challenges.
  • Brainstorming, concepting and collaborating with the team.
  • Be responsible for organisation of the working projects, QC, and their final delivery to a high standard.
  • Work with an Art Director on all projects - taking on their feedback and work collaboratively on creating the best possible version of the work.
  • Support the Design Creative Director and Art Director on large-scale projects.
  • Keep up to date with design trends, continually developing new skills, and learning new applications.
  • Develop skills and knowledge that you share with the entire team.
  • Keep assets and projects highly organised and streamlined in line with the team’s and company’s established processes and standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Live and breathe all things design.
  • Have good knowledge of Adobe Suite (particularly After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator) and have interest and some experience with Maxon tools (Red Giant and Cinema 4D) and/or equivalent.
  • Have tracking, rotoscoping and compositing skills.
  • Be full of creative ideas and have passion and patience for developing your skills to bring them to life.
  • Have good time management and ability to handle several projects simultaneously whilst keeping a level head in a reactive environment with tight deadlines.
  • Be focused, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Capable of working together with an Art Director to take strategy and creatively interpret client briefs, always keeping the tone and genre in mind when developing the design.
  • Be highly collaborative, able to work well as part of a team and create strong working relationships.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, willing to work in a fast-paced fulfilling environment.
  • Have good organisation skills along with exceptional attention to detail.

Salary: £26,000 to £36,000 per annum (To be discussed depending on experience).

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am till 6:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break) and for the occasional late working there is a fair lieu day policy in place. Please note, this role requires a minimum of 3 days a week onsite, so candidates must be able to commute to our Soho office and be legally able to work in the UK.
