Multi-Trade Engineer

Overview

Multi-trade Engineer CIS – Temporary – ongoing; Midlands region. £22.00 p/hour; 42.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 07:00 – 16:00. You will need a van and tools.

They are a well-established Facilities Management company based in the Midlands, delivering high-quality maintenance solutions across a range of commercial properties. They are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Engineer to join their dynamic team.

As a Multi-Trade Engineer, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a portfolio of commercial sites, using a broad range of trade skills to ensure properties are maintained to high standards, providing a first-class service and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. You will use an app on your mobile phone for itineraries and job updates; you will receive £30 towards your phone bill.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance tasks across commercial properties
• Undertake multi-trade duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, tiling, patch plastering, and minor electrical work
• Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance issues
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed SLAs
• Complete job reports and update internal systems following site visits
• Liaise with clients and site managers in a professional and courteous manner
• Comply with company and client H&S policies and procedures at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or maintenance engineer role
• Skilled in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating, plastering)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Good understanding of commercial FM environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential
