A well-established Facilities Management company based in the Midlands is seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview

As a Multi-Trade Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a portfolio of commercial sites. You will utilise a broad range of trade skills to ensure our clients’ properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a first-class service and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building maintenance tasks across commercial properties.
  • Undertake multi-trade duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, tiling, patch plastering, and minor electrical work.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance issues.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed SLAs.
  • Complete job reports and update internal systems following site visits.
  • Liaise with clients and site managers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Comply with company and client H&S policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or maintenance engineer role.
  • Skilled in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating, plastering).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Good understanding of commercial FM environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
