A well-established Facilities Management company based in the Midlands is seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview
As a Multi-Trade Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a portfolio of commercial sites. You will utilise a broad range of trade skills to ensure our clientsβ properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a first-class service and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance tasks across commercial properties.
- Undertake multi-trade duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, tiling, patch plastering, and minor electrical work.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance issues.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed SLAs.
- Complete job reports and update internal systems following site visits.
- Liaise with clients and site managers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Comply with company and client H&S policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or maintenance engineer role.
- Skilled in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating, plastering).
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Good understanding of commercial FM environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
