Head of Information Technology (interim)

I’m looking to speak with experienced IT and technology operations leaders who are available now or at short notice for a confidential interim assignment.

An organisation needs a senior leader who can get to grips with its technology environment quickly, provide clear direction to teams and suppliers, and keep services and priority work moving.

This will suit someone comfortable taking ownership early, making sound decisions and balancing operational demands with ongoing improvement.

You’ll need credible experience across:

• Zero trust architecture: understanding the principles and guiding practical improvements to identity, access and security controls.
• Networking: enterprise connectivity, network security and operational resilience.
• Telephony: voice, unified communications or contact centre services, including supplier performance and service continuity.
• Infrastructure: cloud or hybrid environments, hosting, backup and disaster recovery.
• Cyber: technology risk, security assurance and incident readiness.

The immediate focus will be establishing a clear view of service performance, risks and outstanding priorities. You’ll support managers, resolve delivery issues and maintain momentum on existing technology programmes.

You should be comfortable leading through specialist teams, challenging technical proposals and managing senior stakeholders. Experience taking responsibility for live services during a period of change would be particularly relevant.

This could suit a proven interim IT leader or an experienced infrastructure, operations or technical services leader who can step into a broad remit quickly.
