Zayo Europe is looking for a Senior Fibre Product Manager with a track record of building and delivering customer centric products and services. You will envision the next generation of operational support services, strategise how to achieve that vision, gather and define requirements, and translate those into functional specifications and user stories to drive the development life cycle from start to finish. You have a bias toward hands-on action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product delivery. You will collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external partners and have strong interpersonal skills. Building and maintaining global relationships will be key to your success. You will possess a solid understanding of product management, service offerings, and be comfortable developing products in a fast paced, high-technology, multifaceted environment.
The Product Manager is responsible for the overall success of their assigned product. He / She will own the end to end product lifecycle and roadmap, playing a lead role in defining the product strategy. Partnering with our operations, architecture, engineering, development and go-to-market teams to guide services from concept to launch. As part of the Product Team, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you deliver services that our customers love. You'll collaborate closely with Strategy and Innovation to build innovative features as well as package solutions that position Zayo as a market leader and help us to achieve our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and evangelist for the product.
- Work with counterparts to understand competitive landscape, market requirements and overall product needs.
- Gather insights through interviews, feedback, support data, and usage analytics.
- Proactive and regular interaction with key customers to ensure products meet the needs of the market.
- Provide input on roadmaps and ensure that they are aligned with technical constraints.
- Equip go-to-market teams with product knowledge, messaging, and competitive positioning.
- Determine metrics and measurements for new products, features, and data quality.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive campaign and support content creation.
- Ensure the product supports growth goals—whether through new revenue, cost efficiency, or market expansion.
- Define how the product is monetized and what tiers/features are offered.
- Provide clarity on product direction, performance, and priorities across the organisation.
- Be hands on as needed with the data to demonstrate and define how these metrics are gathered in code.
Qualifications:
- The candidates who will excel in this role will likely have a Business or Engineering degree, a solid background in telecom, and be an excellent communicator.
- Must be a fibre expert.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a Product Manager, Sales Engineer for a Telecommunications, SaaS and/or Services Product.
- Data driven and efficient in Excel.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Self-starter who can work autonomously and is also comfortable leading through influence.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise effectively and work under pressure deadlines.
- French or German a plus.
