We are offering an 8‑12 week paid internship opportunity for an IT Deployment Technician to support a large‑scale laptop refresh project at our London office starting July. This role provides hands‑on experience in IT operations, giving exposure to device deployment, user support, and asset management within a professional corporate environment. You will work alongside our EU IT team to help deliver a seamless transition from old devices to new Windows 11 laptops across the business. Depending on project needs, this role may also be asked to support the Service Desk team with day‑to‑day IT support activities. - Device Preparation & Setup
- Assist in preparing and configuring laptops using standard deployment tools
- Support the imaging process (e.g. SCCM) following documented procedures
- Carry out basic quality checks to ensure devices are ready for deployment
- User Support & Deployment
- Help coordinate laptop handovers with employees
- Provide on‑the‑ground support during device setup and migration
- Assist users with setting up Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
- Support data migration, including transferring files to OneDrive where required
- Troubleshoot common issues during deployment with guidance from the IT team
- Asset Management & Tracking
- Update and maintain asset records in ServiceNow
- Track devices through different stages (prepared, deployed, returned)
- Support accurate documentation of equipment throughout the project
- Device Collection & Decommissioning
- Assist in collecting old laptops from users
- Support secure handling of retired equipment in line with internal procedures
- Help ensure devices are properly logged and stored
- Project Support
- Work to daily deployment targets with guidance from the project team
- Support coordination between technical preparation and user‑facing activities
- Escalate issues and provide updates on progress
- Provide additional support to the Service Desk team on day‑to‑day IT support tasks if project timelines change or where extra assistance is required
