About Zavo
Zavo is an AI-native point-of-sale and payments platform built for restaurants and hospitality businesses. We replace legacy POS and payment systems with one modern solution that combines payments, point-of-sale, and AI automation—helping operators run faster, smarter, and with less manual work. We are building the future of how restaurants operate.
We’re growing our London field sales team and are looking for experienced Business Development Managers who know how to sell POS and payments face-to-face and close deals on the ground.
About the Role
- Base salary: £65k
- OTE (base + commission): £130k (uncapped)
This is a field sales opportunity. Candidates must live local to London, UK, or be willing to relocate.
As an SMB Territory Account Executive, you will be part of a team transforming the way restaurants and hospitality businesses operate. Using a consultative, in-person sales approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign new restaurateurs across your local London territory. By understanding each operator’s unique needs, you will develop a customised POS and payments solution that helps their business run more efficiently and grow. You’ll work with a mix of SDR-booked opportunities and self-sourced leads, and play a key role in building the Zavo brand on the ground.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the entire sales cycle from first conversation to contract signature
- Attend on-site meetings with restaurants booked by the SDR team and close deals
- Generate your own pipeline through cold canvassing, referrals, and local networking
- Conduct in-person demos and develop tailored POS & payments solutions based on each operator’s needs
- Confidently handle objections related to switching POS systems, pricing, contracts, and payments
- Understand the competitive landscape and clearly position Zavo against both legacy and modern POS providers
- Partner closely with SDR, onboarding, operations, and product teams to ensure expectations set during the sales process are delivered post-sale
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activity, pipeline, and deals in the CRM
- Book in on-site installations with our installation team
- Share feedback and market insights to continuously improve Zavo’s go-to-market execution
Who You Are
- Commercial closer – You know how to sell face-to-face, manage objections, and drive deals to signature
- Self-driven – Comfortable working independently in the field while owning your territory
- Customer-focused – You build trust with operators and sell long-term value, not just price
- Organised and disciplined – You treat CRM hygiene, follow-ups, and forecasting seriously
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience selling POS and/or payments, or selling directly to restaurants and hospitality businesses
- Strong in-person sales and negotiation skills
- Comfortable with cold canvassing, referrals, and territory-based selling
- Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
Requirements
- Experience selling POS and payments (required)
- Experience selling into restaurants or hospitality
- Fluent in English
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
