We are looking for a Product Engineer who will build and ship features across our AI-powered payments and POS platform—working on everything from our Next.js merchant dashboard to React Native terminal software to AI agents that automate restaurant operations. You will own product features end-to-end, working directly with our founders and a small, agile engineering team to serve the 400+ restaurants and retail businesses already using Zavo.
Compensation: £80,000–£120,000 base salary + equity
About Zavo: We are a YC-backed (F25) startup based in London, building an intelligent, all-in-one platform to replace today’s fragmented restaurant tech stack. Zavo powers card payments, POS, and AI for 400+ restaurants and retail businesses. We are backed by leading global investors, growing revenue rapidly, and moving fast to define the next generation of restaurant technology.
What You’ll Do:
- Ship product features end-to-end across our modern stack (Next.js, React Native, Python/Supabase)
- Build and improve our merchant dashboard that restaurant owners use daily
- Work on React Native terminal software that runs on our payment devices
- Help build AI agents that automate restaurant operations
- Work directly with co-founders and a small technical team—your work will have immediate impact
- Talk to customers, understand their problems, and build solutions that actually work
What We’re Looking For:
- 3-5+ years building production web and mobile experiences that real users love
- Strong full-stack skills with a frontend/product tilt—you care about UX as much as code quality
- Experience with our stack (Next.js, React Native, Python) or similar modern technologies
- Founder mentality—you treat this like your own company and do whatever it takes
- Customer obsession—genuinely excited about building products for restaurant owners and merchants
- High agency and comfortable with ambiguity—we’re a small team moving fast
- Based in London (hybrid)—we need in-person collaboration with the team
- UK work authorization—we can’t sponsor visas at this stage
Why Zavo:
- YC-backed with very strong revenue and momentum (400+ merchants and growing)
- Work directly with founders on high-impact problems
- Modern tech stack—Next.js, React Native, Python, Supabase, AI/ML
- Real product ownership—you’ll ship features that merchants use every day
- Early-stage equity with real upside potential
- London-based team with a collaborative, all-in culture
The Pay Range For This Role Is: 80,000 - 120,000 GBP per year (Hybrid (London, England, GB))
