J ob Purpose:
- Our Shift Supervisors are responsible for the overall performance of a Zapp store during their dedicated shift and, therefore, are one of the key drivers of Zapp’s continued growth.
- To be successful in this role, you will need to have a passion for motivating people, strong communication skills and a determination to achieve great results and create an exceptional customer experience.
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Supervise your assigned Zapp Store during your shift, including motivating, guiding and leading your store team
- Ensure customer orders are correctly prepared whilst being acutely aware of the SLAs and KPIs the store operates
- Owning stock management – from inbounding and putaway to cycle counting
- Provide end of shift reports to the next incoming Shift Manager
- Check staff resourcing ahead of time and resolve any issues.
- Ensure correct attendance management procedures are followed when issues arise
- Practising Health & Safety as a maximal priority
- Manage and report on performance during the shift – including escalation of issues
- Liaise with the Store Operations Manager regularly to discuss performance improvements
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Previous experience managing front line operations teams whilst meeting demanding performance standards
- Experience in the Food, Retail, Hospitality or Warehouse environments (or similar live operational environments).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team by being personally invested in their success
- The ability to confidently and independently lead shifts
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Flexibility to be available for morning, daytime and night-time shifts
