About Zapp
Zapp is London’s leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. Zapp partners with some of the world’s leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of usability and design strategy. You will lead design projects for both our customer-facing app and internal tools used by our operations and commercial teams, ensuring seamless and scalable experiences across the board. You’ll work closely with the company’s Founder to continue our mission to build the most loved on-demand delivery experience in the world. You’ll thrive here if you’re driven by deep user empathy, passionate about thoughtful design, and able to move fast without compromising craft or clarity.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design efforts for our mobile app and internal operations/commercial tools.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams to define user problems and co-create practical, elegant design solutions.
- Communicate design concepts and research findings effectively.
- Map out user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability, efficiency, data accuracy and visual clarity.
- Use Figma for wireframes, mockups, and prototypes and experiment with AI tools to accelerate design and handoff.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and field observation with internal teams (Warehouse, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Category Managers) and visiting our Distribution and Fulfilment Centres to understand real-world needs.
- Design efficient interfaces for key systems (Supplier, Inventory, Rider Dispatch, Warehouse Management) focusing on core workflows like picking, packing, and dispatching in a bustling fulfilment centre - and dispatching across different environments (handhelds, desktops).
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system—standardising a component library, establishing design processes, and improving documentation for consistency and scalability.
Ideal candidate profile:
Requirements
- 5+ years of UI/UX/Product design experience across consumer-facing apps and complex internal tools, ideally in logistics, retail/e-commerce, or on-demand services.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, product thinking, problem-solving ability, and refined visual design.
- Proven ability to conduct user research and apply user-centered design principles to develop thoughtful, usable, and delightful solutions.
- Passion and love for what we do with world-class commitment to every single detail.
- Proficiency in Figma (mockups, components, prototyping), with a deep understanding of design constraints and opportunities across web and mobile platforms.
- Interest in using AI to optimize workflows.
- Experience collaborating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments; startup mindset with high comfort in ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
- Opportunity to be part of an industry transforming mission - your work will directly shape how the world experiences fast, premium retail.
- Competitive salary & equity package.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Private Health Insurance.
- Extended sick pay and maternity/paternity leave pay.
