Director, Supply Chain Location Nine Elms, London | Full-time About Zapp Zapp is London's leading premium convenience retail platform.
Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, currently dominated by major players, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions.
Zapp partners with some of the world's leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.
The Role We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain to build the engine behind Zapp's growth: a supply chain that gets faster, smarter and more automated as we scale, not one that just keeps pace with it.
You will own Zeppelin, our forecasting and automation platform, and push it further so availability keeps climbing while the team's manual workload keeps falling.
This is supply chain for a business that turns over stock daily, not weekly: most of what we sell is fresh, chilled or short-dated, so getting perishables right is central to the job.
You will set the long-term automation agenda, back yourself to remove whole categories of work rather than get better at doing them, and use that headroom to take on more scope over time.
Here's What You'd Be Doing Build and run a Supply Chain team engineered to scale with Zapp's growth, not headcount.
Set the automation agenda that keeps reducing manual, repetitive work across Supply Chain, freeing the team to spend more time on what grows the business.
Set the availability and waste strategy for the catalogue, engineering both to best-in-class levels as the range grows.
Stay customer obsessed in everything you do: treat availability, waste and cost as things that matter because a real customer is waiting on the other end, not just because a dashboard says so.
Partner with Commercial, Tech and Finance to make Supply Chain a reason Zapp can range, launch and grow faster than anyone else in London.
What We're Looking For Significant experience leading a Supply Chain, Inventory or Planning function in grocery, fresh or another high-volume, highly perishable category - someone who has actually managed shrink, shelf-life and daily replenishment, not just SKU count.
Proven track record managing short shelf-life inventory at pace: daily or multi-times-daily replenishment cycles, tight cover targets, and the trade-offs between availability and waste that come with fresh and chilled stock.
A track record of building forecasting and automation systems that unlock growth, not just running the ones you inherited.
Deep fluency with data: confident building and challenging models in SQL, BI tools or equivalent. Strong stakeholder management across Commercial, Tech, Ops and Finance.
Enjoy 25 days of holiday per year (plus all bank holidays). Private Health Insurance.
Zapp Credit for testing the Zapp service and experience Lunch provided 4 days of a week at HQExtended sick pay and maternity/paternity leave pay.
Cycle to work scheme.
