Fulfilment Centre Associates form the backbone of our operations - they manage the picking and packing of customer orders, delivery handover to our assigned riders, all whilst ensuring accurate stock management.
In addition to playing a key role in Zapp’s operations, you’ll also enjoy a strong career path ahead of you - those who demonstrate strong performance in this position will have the opportunity to progress into a role as Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders quickly, accurately and with a high level of care.
- Securing packed orders before handover to our third party riders.
- Ensuring your Zapp Store is clean and tidy at all times and that any potential hazards are dealt with safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a high level of stock accuracy by conducting thorough stock checks.
- Checking stock availability and expiry dates whenever picking items or adding items to stock.
- Ensuring deliveries are added to stock and scanned on the system correctly.
- Investigating discrepancies and using your initiative to resolve issues.
- Helping with ad-hoc tasks when the need arises.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Punctual with time management, with the ability to be flexible.
- Proactive and able to take initiative with problem solving.
- Can work at a fast pace and under pressure.
- Experience of working in retail (desirable, but not essential).
- Skilled with a barcode scanner (desirable, but not essential).
