Zap is looking for a Business Development Manager to win new business and take full ownership of the sales lifecycle. You will be friendly, conscientious, commercially driven, and outgoing - acting as a key pillar of Zap's growth strategy. You will identify, pitch to, and negotiate with both inbound and outbound prospects before successfully transitioning them to our Project and Account Management Teams.

What you'll be up to:
- Lead Qualification: You will respond to inbound requests and qualify leads to identify high value opportunities.
- Lead Generation: You will research markets and competitors to identify and qualify high value outbound targets.
- Prospecting: You will initiate meetings with both inbound and outbound targets, through multiple channels.
- Presenting: You will build compelling commercial propositions through collaboration with internal teams, purpose built sales tools, and external partners.
- Negotiation: You will lead commercial discussions and negotiations, owning the deal life-cycle end-to-end through to a successful close.
- Documentation: You will maintain Pipeline and CRM tools, as well as ensuring all sales tools and contracts are up to date.
- Industry expert: You will become an expert in Zap products, as well as the wider competition industry.
What we're looking for:
- Two years experience in a sales based role within a software environment.
- Ability to liaise and present to multiple stakeholders both informed and uninformed.
- Target driven mindset with motivation to win new business and exceed targets.
- Analytical ability to understand price and revenue models.
- A strategic thinker who can understand long term goals and devise plans to help Zap achieve them.
- A self-starter with exceptional organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn all about Zap products and services as well as other complex industry topics.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Laravel, Wordpress and Payment Gateways is a plus.
Benefits:
- Salary is £30,000 with uncapped commission (OTE £60,000).
- Service Bonus of £1,000 per annum paid into your monthly salary up to 5 years £5,000.
