Zanda is partnering with a high-growth, investor-backed business operating within the energy, technology and subscription sectors to appoint a Finance Manager. Having recently achieved profitability and continuing to experience strong growth, the business is looking for a capable and ambitious qualified accountant to strengthen its finance function and support the next phase of scale.
This is a broad and highly visible role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core finance operations, improve reporting and controls, and drive process improvements across a complex and rapidly evolving business.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while building the processes, reporting and controls required to support continued growth.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, operationally strong and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where they can make a tangible impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly management accounts process and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including payables, receivables and cash management
- Support critical supplier and subcontractor payment processes
- Improve project and operational profitability reporting
- Strengthen financial controls, reconciliations and month-end procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and systems enhancements
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial and operational insight
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Experience within project-based, operationally complex or recurring revenue businesses
- Strong management accounting and financial control background
- Advanced Excel skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, entrepreneurial environment
- Passionate about improving processes, driving efficiencies and embracing new technologies
