Zanda is an executive search partner working exclusively with high-growth startups and scale-ups, supporting their growth through senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, PEs, Founders, CEOs, and CFOs to deliver key senior appointments on a permanent, interim, or fractional basis.
Zanda is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed SaaS business in the North West as it enters a critical phase: preparing for exit. The business has a strong, capable Finance Director in place and is now looking to appoint an Interim / Fractional CFO to provide senior financial leadership, strategic oversight, and transaction experience through to exit.
This is a hands-on, value-driving role, working closely with the FD, CEO and PE sponsor.
You will:
- Lead exit readiness across the finance function
- Strengthen management reporting, forecasting, and KPI packs
- Own and refine the equity story and investor narrative
- Prepare for and support vendor due diligence
- Review and stress-test financial models and growth assumptions
- Act as a trusted partner to management and the PE house
You’ll bring:
- Proven CFO or senior FD experience within SaaS / recurring revenue models
- Strong track record in PE-backed environments, including successful exits
- Experience working on an interim or fractional basis
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to support and elevate an FD
- Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
Location: North West (hybrid; some on-site presence required)
Commitment: Fractional / interim (c. 2–3 days per week)
Duration: 6–9 months (likely through exit)
Start: ASAP
Day rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
