Zanda is partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed international business to appoint an Interim Finance Director for an initial 3–6 month engagement. This role has been created to provide immediate leadership and stability to the finance function while the business undertakes a process to hire a permanent Finance Director. The company is scaling rapidly and entering a pivotal phase of operational and strategic development. There is a clear opportunity for the successful candidate to extend beyond the initial term, taking ownership of a broader transformation and optimisation agenda.
The Role
- You will act as the operational and strategic right-hand to the CFO, leading the global finance function across Financial Control, Operations and FP&A during a critical period of scale and evolution. This is a hands-on role requiring immediate impact, clear prioritisation and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the global finance function
- Stabilise and strengthen financial control, governance and processes
- Improve month-end close, reporting quality and cash flow discipline
- Assess team structure, capability and address immediate gaps
- Identify and deliver quick wins across systems, automation and operational efficiency
- Support audit, compliance and stakeholder reporting requirements
- Lead elements of a broader finance transformation agenda
- Enhance FP&A capability and commercial insight
- Drive systems, automation and scalable infrastructure improvements
- Build investor-grade financial modelling and reporting
- Support the business through transaction / exit readiness
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in interim or senior finance leadership roles
- Ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement practical, effective solutions
- Strong technical grounding with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Track record of building, leading and developing finance teams
- Experience in scale-up or multi-entity international businesses
- Exposure to transformation, systems improvement or exit processes is advantageous
