Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs, and CFOs to deliver critical leadership appointments, on both an interim and permanent basis, at pivotal moments of growth.
We are partnering with a high-growth, founder led consumer business headquartered in the US, generating over $60 million in annual revenue last year and continuing to scale at pace. Having built a loyal customer base and a category-leading brand, the company combines the agility and ambition of a start-up with the commercial strength of an established business. The organisation has consistently outperformed competitors through a relentless focus on product, customer experience, and execution. With significant growth opportunities ahead, the leadership team is investing in the infrastructure, talent, and capabilities needed to support the next phase of expansion. Finance plays a critical role in shaping that journey, and this appointment will be a key hire within the business as it continues to build a best-in-class finance function within a lean, AI-first organisation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take full ownership of the finance function across the UK and US entities.
- You will be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting: monthly management accounts, board packs, statutory accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations sit with you, as does cash flow and treasury management across GBP and USD.
- A significant part of this role in the near term is leading a full ERP implementation end-to-end, from scoping through go-live.
- Beyond the system build, you will own FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, inventory accounting, COGS and margin reporting, and the finance data infrastructure that the wider business relies on.
- You will manage and develop the finance team and work closely with the co-founders and leaders across Operations and Marketing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or US CPA equivalent)
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, including a senior leadership role such as Finance Director or Financial Controller
- Proven track record leading a major ERP implementation end-to-end, from planning through go-live (NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Background in a high-growth consumer business: CPG, e-commerce, DTC, or start-up
- Experience in an inventory-based, physical product business with solid understanding of COGS, margin, and supply chain finance
- Multi-entity, multi-currency experience across UK and US operations
- Strong systems and data orientation, comfortable building reporting infrastructure from scratch
- The leadership and communication skills to manage and develop a team in a fast-moving environment
