Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VC's, Founders, CEOs and CFO's when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.
Zanda is partnering with a high growth VC backed Series A, CleanTech Marketplace business in London. Operating across the UK and Europe, the COO and Founders are looking to hire their first Head of Finance to join their leadership team and build out the finance function. With a headcount of 30, they are at a critical stage of growth and are scaling rapidly.
Reporting to the COO and working directly with the CEO, Founders and Senior Leadership team, the Head of Finance will combine the strategic vision and financial expertise to support them through the next phase of growth across the UK and Europe. The business is based in Central London and they are in the office 3 days a week.
What experiences you will gain:
- Owning and continuously improving all finance operations, processes and controls as the business scales
- Driving increasingly accurate, high quality financial reporting across the business
- Managing financial risk, ensuring controls remain robust, proportionate, and scalable
- Delivering insightful management reporting and overseeing statutory compliance and audit processes
- Leading board reporting, providing investors and leadership with clear, data driven business insights
- Owning the long term financial model, quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions including pricing, unit economics, growth, and capital allocation
- Supporting fundraising activity, investor reporting, diligence processes, and broader capital strategy across debt and equity financing
- Managing relationships with investors, banks, advisors, and overseeing equity related processes including share option schemes
- Providing financial support across the business, presenting, and communicating critical financial matters when required
- Building and developing a high performing finance team as the business scales
- Supporting the Leadership team with ad hoc finance projects as and when required
