Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups and scale-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs, CFOs and CPOs when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.
We are supporting a fast-growing, VC-backed FinTech that is scaling quickly and investing heavily in technology. They have the funding, the momentum and the ambition to keep growing, and AI sits at the core of how they build and operate. As the business grows, the finance function is being built to match. That is exactly where this role comes in.
What you'll do:
- You will report to the Finance Director as the sole finance systems and operations resource, owning the finance systems landscape end-to-end and acting as the function's champion for AI and automation.
- Lead the ERP migration end-to-end, from requirements and vendor selection through to data migration, UAT, cutover and go-live.
- Act as finance superuser and owner of the finance data model, running and continuously improving the post-migration stack across ERP, billing, expense and reporting tooling.
- Own the automation agenda across month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, forecasting and intercompany, using tools such as Make or Zapier.
- Embed AI into finance operations: document extraction, anomaly detection, AI-assisted analysis and automated reporting. Be the internal evangelist for a smarter way of working.
- Build and maintain integrations between the ERP, CRM and data warehouse, working hand in hand with engineering, data and Revenue Operations.
- Partner with FP&A on forecasting systems and reporting infrastructure, and own data governance, master data controls and audit support across the stack.
Experience required:
- Direct experience with a next-generation, AI-native ERP, or experience building AI onto NetSuite.
- A genuinely AI-native working style. You already use AI day-to-day to accelerate reconciliations, clean data and turn SOPs into repeatable workflows.
- Hands-on automation experience with Make, Zapier or similar, and concrete examples of processes you have automated.
- A strong, practical grasp of how data flows across finance systems: chart of accounts design, integration architecture and reporting data models.
- A startup or scale-up background. You operate without a full support function and hold your own in a technical conversation with engineers.
- SaaS or high-growth tech experience, with the commercial instinct to turn ambiguous business needs into clear technical solutions.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with ERP implementation experience a strong plus.
