Who is the Business?
Zanda is partnering with an exciting FinTech to help find their next finance leader. These organisations operations have been run impeccably, reaching over 80-heads and a projected year-end revenue in the double figures while largely being bootstrapped to date. They are looking to super‑charge their growth through undertaking their first major fundraising round and are seeking a CFO who can help them on this journey.
The business is filled with intelligent and impactful individuals who have helped cultivate a forward‑thinking culture that is constantly evolving to ensure they remain market leading. They are seeking a CFO who can add to this culture of excellency through building out a finance function that is investor‑ready and saleable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in tandem with the CEO, leading on the delivery of all fundraising rounds moving forwards.
- Acting as a partner to the CEO and other C‑suite members on a wider business level, supporting on the strategic business plan.
- Updating the financial modelling and overall reporting structure, ensuring board packs include the insight and depth of data required by investor‑level reporting.
- Work cross functionally with all divisions throughout the organisation to align their commercial planning with financial goals.
- Total operation oversight of the entire financial and accounting reporting structure, assessing even transactional processes and updating where necessary to ensure the function is efficient and scalable.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Developing and managing relationships with financial institutions and other external stakeholders.
What will the perfect candidates background look like?
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
- Experience in a high‑growth tech environment, preferably FinTech.
- A proven leader who has experience in management and growing the finance function as an organisation scales.
- Previously worked in an investor‑backed environment and has played a key hand in successfully fundraising rounds.
- Collaborative and innovative, has experience being a trusted partner to the CEO and acting as a sounding board.
- Has improved the efficiency of financial processes, including through the use of AI.
