A rapidly growing, venture-backed clean energy business is scaling its operations across multiple European markets. Following a period of early traction, the business is entering a new phase of growth and is seeking a Finance Manager to establish and lead the finance function. This role offers significant autonomy and visibility, with direct involvement in strategic decision-making and future fundraising.
- Own monthly management reporting, forecasting, and statutory accounts
- Support budgeting, planning, and financial analysis activities
- Review and explain variances against forecasts and business plans
- Manage banking and cash flow across multiple entities
- Support the setup and ongoing management of new entities and SPVs
- Establish scalable accounting processes and controls
- Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants and advisors
- Develop financial models to support growth initiatives and investment decisions
- Partner with operational and commercial teams across geographies
- Support current and future fundraising activity
- Implement and improve finance systems and tools
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience building or significantly improving a finance function in a growing business
- Strong understanding of capital-intensive or asset-backed business models
- Comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Interest in working closely with leadership on growth and fundraising
3 - 6 month role, 3 days a week and around £500 a day outside IR35.
