A fast-growing, private equity–backed creative agency delivering high-profile events is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to lead its UK finance function. The role focuses on embedding strong financial control, improving governance, and delivering robust reporting within a complex, project-led environment.
The Role:
- Lead UK & Ireland financial control across multiple legal entities
- Establish and embed best-in-class financial controls, processes, and reporting
- Own month-end close, management accounts, statutory reporting, and audit processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Oversee working capital, capex tracking, and compliance
- Partner with senior leadership to provide clear financial insight and cost control
- Manage and develop a finance team of up to 10 professionals
Candidate Profile:
- Proven Financial Controller experience in PE-backed and/or project-led businesses
- Strong technical accounting expertise with a hands-on approach
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and improve finance rigour in fast-paced environments
