Zanda is partnering with a high-growth payments fintech business seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join at a transformational stage of its journey. This is a rare opportunity to step into a commercially critical leadership role within a profitable, founder-led payments platform operating across multiple international and emerging markets. The business is preparing for a significant institutional fundraising process and evaluating strategic M&A opportunities. Initially appointed on an interim basis, the role has a clear intention to transition into a permanent CFO position for the right individual.

Reporting directly to the Founders, you will take full ownership of the finance function, build the infrastructure required for the next stage of scale, and act as a key strategic partner across fundraising, expansion, and corporate development.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and scaling the finance function within a complex, high-growth payments environment
  • Building robust financial reporting, forecasting, and planning frameworks
  • Delivering high-quality board and investor reporting with clear commercial insight
  • Leading a significant institutional fundraising process, including investor engagement, due diligence, and transaction execution support
  • Partnering with Founders on strategic, commercial, and growth decisions
  • Strengthening financial controls, governance, and multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • Driving visibility of payments revenue streams, interchange/fee structures, margins, and unit economics
  • Supporting evaluation and execution of strategic M&A
  • Managing key relationships with investors, auditors, regulators, and external advisors
  • Building a scalable finance function capable of supporting international expansion in regulated and emerging markets
