With a strong presence in multiple regions, this organisation is committed to innovation, automation, and ensuring seamless financial processes and they are now looking for a Head of Group Reporting to join their team.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee financial reporting and statutory accounts for respective business units.
- Own the end to end audit cycles, with full accountability and stakeholder management, both internal and external, to ensure the timely submission of all obligations that fall due.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the entire business, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
- Oversee the consolidation process of financial statements from multiple entities, ensuring alignment across various jurisdictions and business operations.
- Manage the intercompany eliminations and reconciliation processes, ensuring proper accounting treatment for all intercompany transactions and balances.
- Review reconciliations and month-end journal entries, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial data.
- Provide detailed financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis, with commentary on performance and strategic insights.
- Partnering with the finance team in supporting budgeting and forecasting process across all areas and departments (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow).
- Involved in financial systems development to support the business and growth.
- Involvement in reviewing and developing all internal processes and controls to ensure efficiency.
- Have a strong sense of where is most efficient to automate processes and how.
- Effective partnering with other key internal finance departments such as Tax and FP&A.
- Involved with ad-hoc projects assigned by the Group Head of Finance and to meet the growing demands of the business.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial reporting role, with a solid track record in consolidation, preferably within the igaming, or cryptocurrency industries (a bonus).
- Proven experience with IFRS, GAAP, and other financial reporting frameworks, with a strong focus on consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations, and multi-jurisdictional reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with financial consolidation tools (e.g. Anaplan) and accounting software (e.g. Xero) with advanced Excel knowledge.
- ACA or equivalent.
- You possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- You have a proactive approach to solving problems and making processes efficient.
- You are a critical thinker; they are a fast paced company, growing even faster and need someone who is ready to hit the ground running!
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- You are able to lead and effectively manage a team, developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
