Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VC’s, Founder’s, CEO’s and CFO’s when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.

Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a high growth private equity backed, international life sciences business based in London. With ambitious growth plans across new products and markets, they are looking to hire a Director of Group FP&A who can build a scalable, data focused, commercial FP&A function.

Reporting to the CFO, you will build the core foundations of the FP&A function. Through your understanding of numbers, data, and business drivers, you will provide actionable insights and work closely with the Investors and CEO, whilst partnering with the senior leadership team on commercial decisions including pricing, product, manufacturing and new markets.

What experiences you will gain

• Working closely with the CFO, Investors and Senior Leadership team leading financial planning cycles (annual budget, long range plan, quarterly forecasts) with a focus on R&D, manufacturing, clinical trials and commercial launch projections
• Producing models to project short term and longer term growth and responsible for budgeting, forecasting and long term strategic financial planning and modelling
• Owning the monthly, quarterly financial results presentations and analysing the financial and operational results to better understand company performance
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Product, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Commercial leaders to provide data driven insights that improve decision making
• Develop and enhance forecasting tools, dashboards, and KPIs that track operational efficiency, program milestones, and P&L performance
• Present financial results, variance drivers, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board, translating complex scientific and operational data into actionable financial insights
• Drive process improvements, ERP system implementation, and scalable FP&A infrastructure to support rapid growth, compliance, and operational excellence in a regulated industry
• Preparing business cases to support new investment and other key strategic business ideas
• Building and developing the FP&A team into a high performing team of business partners

What background should you have before you press apply!

• Experience within a high growth, international scale up within life sciences
• Prior experience leading and developing a high performing FP&A team
• Strong excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner and influence
