Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VC’s, Founder’s, CEO’s and CFO’s when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.
Who’s the business
Zanda is partnering with an award winning, B2B SaaS business based in the North West of England. PE backed, they have ambitious growth plans and are looking for a CFO who can provide rigor around exit readiness and strategic financial leadership.
Reporting to the CEO, this CFO position will immediately drive improvements on process and controls within the financial reporting process. Subsequent strategic work will continue driving the business towards their goal of a successful exit, either to trade or again to private equity. Working closely with the leadership team to sustainably drive profit and top line revenue, you will dive into metrics across sales, marketing, customer success and product usage.
What experiences you will gain
- Lead on capital allocation strategies through business partnering with the CEO and investor network
- Ongoing exit readiness establishing processes, controls and systems to provide accurate and insightful management information
- Researching and developing the longer-term investor network, providing the knowledge required to advise the business on the longer-term funding and exit options for the business.
- Be a key member of the Executive team, providing strategic guidance and support on financial and tax strategies. Interface directly with the Board, Audit and Compensation Committees of the Board, ensuring they have a clear sense of the overall financial health and potential risk areas of the company.
- Establish themselves as a strong “co-pilot” by supporting the CEO in strategic planning and driving the budget process, and delivery of the business plan.
- Demonstrating company values through leadership and development of a highly insightful and scalable finance function, able to inspire the strategic direction of the business.
What background should you have before you press apply!
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Deep sector knowledge and KPI drivers associated with a B2B SaaS model
- Innovative, visionary thought partner with outstanding business acumen and extensive qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Experienced with Board, Investor, and shareholder interactions.
- A proven track record of building a finance team successfully inside a scaleup and entrepreneurial company, ideally combining learnings from larger company environments on best practice.
- Able to commit to at least 2 days a week to a central Manchester office location.
