Role Description
The Forklift Driver role at ZAM FM LTD is a full-time, on-site position based in the East Midlands. The role involves operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely within warehouses and industrial facilities. Day-to-day tasks include handling incoming and outgoing shipments, transporting goods to designated storage areas, and assisting with packing and material handling to support smooth logistics operations. The Forklift Driver will be expected to follow all health and safety procedures, conduct basic equipment checks, and maintain accurate records of materials moved or stored. Collaboration with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members is required to ensure efficient workflows and timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong forklift operation skills, including safe driving, maneuvering, and basic equipment inspection.
- Experience in material handling and unloading, with the ability to move, stack, and organize goods efficiently.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes and packing procedures to support accurate order handling.
- Attention to health and safety standards in warehouse or industrial environments.
- Valid forklift certification or license and prior experience in a similar role.
- Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels, completing documentation, and verifying inventory.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.
