We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our growing development team. You’ll take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior developers, and play a pivotal role in shaping our technical solutions across multiple industries – including Data and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern technologies
  • Take ownership of features and modules from requirements through to deployment
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Mentor junior developers and support their professional growth
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, optimising performance and reliability
  • Architect and implement database solutions, including design and maintenance
  • Deploy and maintain cloud-hosted solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Drive agile development processes – sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives
  • Engage confidently with clients, supporting our Managed Service offering
  • Diagnose and resolve complex Microsoft-related technical issues for clients
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the team

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years’ commercial software development experience gained within the UK – this is a strict requirement.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Laravel, or similar
  • Strong understanding of databases and SQL
  • Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience working within agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken – including client-facing interactions
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience with Data and AI technologies
  • Experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with testing frameworks and a test-driven development approach
  • Personal or open-source projects that demonstrate your passion for development
