The Role

A senior leadership role that is the second in command to the CTO, responsible for day‑to‑day management of IT and development functions across the Group.
Contributes significantly to the strategic direction of technology, acts as a bridge between IT and the business, and plays a key role in succession planning for the CTO role.
Oversees daily operations of IT and development functions across Group companies.
Provides line management, mentorship, and support to team leads and developers.
Ensures consistent performance management, career development, and skill growth across the teams.
Acts as the senior escalation point for IT and development issues.
Leads, influences, and develops the IT teams across several businesses.

The Applicant

Ideal candidate has held a similar Head of IT role in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or a related technology‑led industry (strongly preferred).
Understanding of the operational realities of logistics businesses and their IT needs.
Uses insight and experience to shape the way forward, creating innovation and outperforming clients’ competitors.
Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cloud platforms, together with a strong background in software development and delivery practices.
Familiarity with modern development frameworks, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
Adaptability to thrive within a complex business.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confident and articulate, commanding respect through knowledge, experience, and personal style; passionate about achieving the best.
