My client is a leading sports & leisure brand who are making huge waves in the industry, with a city behind them and exposure globally through partnerships endorsements from some of the globe's most exciting retailers & athletes. Due to exciting business growth, our client is recruiting a Wholesale Merchandiser to join their team.
Working with our client's key European Accounts and their retail estate, this role will drive the order book identifying sales opportunities through recognising trends and identifying potential risks.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the WSSI (Weekly Sales & Stock Intake): Manage and take full ownership of the WSSI, ensuring accurate forecasting and stock allocation to support sales objectives.
- Seasonal Performance Reporting: Analyse and produce detailed seasonal performance reports, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Weekly Sell-Through Reports: Build and manage weekly sell-through reports, providing insights into product performance, stock levels, and potential areas for improvement.
- External Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key external stakeholders, including leading retailers and partners, to ensure alignment on sales targets, product availability, and inventory management.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with both Wholesale and Retail Teams to secure optimal inventory levels based on sell-through data and product availability, ensuring that stock aligns with customer demand.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Product teams to ensure a unified approach to product launches, promotional strategies, and overall sales performance.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a sales planning or merchandising role, ideally within a sports, fashion, or lifestyle brand.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in using WSSI and managing sell-through and seasonal performance reports.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external teams.
- Experience working closely with Wholesale and Retail teams, especially in managing inventory based on demand and product availability.
- Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Excel (advanced level) and other relevant planning tools.
