A high-growth, digitally led consumer group with a significant online footprint and an expanding financial services proposition is looking to appoint a Head of Credit Risk & Platforms. This is a senior leadership role with ownership of credit risk strategy, decisioning frameworks and the platforms that underpin a fast-scaling customer finance offering. The role sits at the intersection of risk, data, technology and product, and will play a critical part in shaping the next phase of growth.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for defining and leading the credit risk strategy across the customer lifecycle, ensuring robust decisioning, strong portfolio performance and regulatory compliance, while enabling commercial growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the end-to-end credit risk strategy
- Leading credit decisioning across acquisition, account management and collections
- Oversight of credit risk platforms, tools and data integrations
- Developing, implementing and governing credit policies and models
- Monitoring portfolio performance, credit quality and risk metrics
- Ensuring strong governance and compliance with UK regulatory requirements
- Working closely with Product, Technology, Operations and Customer Experience teams
- Managing third-party vendors and technology partners
- Building, developing and leading a high-performing credit risk function
About You
You will be an experienced credit risk leader with a strong track record in consumer finance or financial services, comfortable operating at scale in fast-moving environments. Key requirements:
- Proven senior-level experience in credit risk leadership
- Deep understanding of underwriting, affordability and credit decisioning
- Hands-on experience with credit risk platforms and decisioning systems
- Strong knowledge of UK consumer credit regulation
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear decisions
