Zachary Daniels are partnering with a global business, looking for a proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that stock movement - from inbound deliveries to outbound order fulfillment - is seamless, timely, and aligned with the fast-paced nature of the industry. You'll be at the centre of the supply chain, reporting to the Supply Chain Director ensuring customers get the right products at the right time. Please note, this role is based on site 5 days per week, based in Manchester.
What the Warehouse Operations Manager will do:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise (apparel and accessories).
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate a warehouse team to meet performance, quality, and safety targets, especially during high-traffic periods like product launches.
- Inventory Control: Ensure accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation, maintaining real-time accuracy within our WMS and ERP systems.
- Handling Clothes & Accessories: Implement best practices for the handling, tagging, hanging, and storage of garments to prevent damage and maintain quality presentation standards.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure efficient and accurate processing of e-commerce and retail store orders to meet SLAs and customer expectations.
- Logistics Coordination: Liaise with couriers, freight companies, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth inbound/outbound flow.
- Technology Integration: Utilise systems (e.g., RFID, barcode scanning, WMS platforms) to improve operational performance.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold safety, hygiene, and industry compliance standards in line with company policy.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong warehouse or logistics management experience. Fashion and international experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding of fashion/clothing/accessories specific warehousing (e.g., SKU management, garment care, seasonal transitions).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan, Peoplevox, NetSuite).
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Familiarity with International logistics operations is desirable.
