We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, highly respected toy and leisure brand. With over 50 years of industry success and a portfolio of household-name products, this is an exciting opportunity to manage a key region within the business. The territory includes Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, London, and stretches out to the Norfolk coast. It covers some of the largest independent customers in the company's client base and is responsible for a substantial portion of turnover within the territory team. We're seeking a strong account manager who understands the value of regular customer check-ins, relationship-building, and consistent follow-up.
The ideal candidate will be based in or near Leicestershire or Cambridgeshire, offering easy access to all key parts of the region.
As Territory Manager, you'll report to the Senior National Account Manager and take ownership of a strategically important patch. You'll be responsible for nurturing existing relationships, growing the account base, and ensuring strong product visibility. This role offers the autonomy to manage your own diary. On average, you'll be expected to stay overnight in the territory 2-3 nights per week, depending on business needs—but this won't be every week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
- Managing key independent accounts and identifying new business opportunities
- Driving product distribution and visibility across the territory
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Planning and managing your schedule to ensure effective territory coverage
- Attending trade shows and events to support brand presence
- Delivering accurate reporting and customer insights to internal teams
We are looking for an experienced and confident account manager with a strong field sales background and a passion for developing customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Territory Sales Manager or in a field-based account management role
- A solid understanding of the independent retail channel and how to support it effectively
- A proactive, relationship-led approach to account development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and self-motivation
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of their territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A full UK driving licence
A competitive salary is offered along with a company car, a performance-related bonus, and a benefits package tailored to your experience.
If you're based in or near Leicestershire or Cambridgeshire and are ready to take on a high-value territory in a respected and growing company, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to find out more.
