My client is looking to recruit an experienced Product Development Engineer to join their site near Stirling. The successful engineer will support new product development through prototype design, modification and testing. For existing products, the role focuses on sustaining engineering such as DFM and reliability improvements, component alternates and product variations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualising, prototyping and testing electrical systems for a range of products, adhering to UK & EU required legislation.
  • Taking ownership of the development of products and ensuring they meet project timescales, functionality, and serviceability requirements.
  • Testing and collecting data for analysis and interpretation, then producing technical reports with recommendations.
  • Developing and producing manufacturing test procedures, user, and installation documentation.
  • Utilising electrical drawing package (Solidworks 2D electrical) to produce wiring schematics and production drawings.
  • Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with internal project team members throughout the project life cycle.
