An established footwear manufacturer that designs and produces trend-led men\’s, women\’s and children\’s footwear collections across casual, lifestyle, formal and \’going out\’ for UK and international High Street retailers is currently recruiting for a Senior Footwear Designer with strong multi-product footwear experience to join its growing creative team located in Lancashire.
As a Footwear Designer you will be responsible for designing and developing their footwear collections alongside the wider design team. Taking full ownership of product lines, attending briefing meetings with buyers, fit & Development meetings, creating and updating tech packs, lab dip approvals, and fabric and trim research. You will work closely with their in-house account managers and merchandisers along with overseas QCs on fitting throughout the development process, adhering to the critical path regarding development amendments. You will be a valued member of the creative team and will report directly to the Sales Director.
The ideal candidate must have previous multi-product footwear design experience working at an established level for a supplier, high street retailer, or lifestyle brand. Demonstrating strong development and technical skills with extensive knowledge of fitting, UK and European grading and footwear construction. You must have previous experience working with external suppliers, overseas factories and attending development meetings. Possessing fantastic communication (written & verbal), presentation, time management and I.T skills using Adobe InDesign & Illustrator and Microsoft Office with a keen interest and passion for footwear and footwear trends. International travel will be required.
