My client is looking to recruit an experienced Product Development Engineer to join their site near Stirling. You will be working with a successful manufacturer that has a culture on site that is results driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The company is well established, financially stable and has earned a reputation as an excellent employer.
The successful engineer will support new product development through prototype design, modification and testing. For existing products, the role focuses on sustaining engineering such as DFM and reliability improvements, component alternates and product variations.

What you will need:
- Experience working within a fast paced environment
- Degree / HND or equivalent in electrical or electronics discipline
- Excellent problem solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise, prototype and test electrical systems for a range of products, adhering to UK & EU required legislation
- Take ownership of the development of products and ensure they meet project timescales, functionality, and serviceability requirements
- Test and collect data for analysis and interpretation then produce technical reports with recommendations
- Develop and produce manufacturing test procedures, user, and installation documentation
- Utilise electrical drawing package (Solidworks 2D electrical) to produce wiring schematics and production drawings
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of required legislation and provide impact statements to the business on future legislation changes
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with internal project team members throughout the project life cycle: Marketing, Design, Production, Technical Services
