Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing / East Lothian
My client is a international design and manufacturing organisation, with a fantastic reputation within the industry they supply within.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Procurement Specialist to their team. This role is based on their site in East Lothian.
The Procurement Specialist will ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of materials to the business in line with MRP system requirements. They will also develop robust relationships with key UK and International suppliers, engaging with senior stakeholders to provide effective supply chain support.
Experience required:
- Extensive knowledge of production / inventory management in a manufacturing environment and end to end procurement process/ MRP/ERP systems, ideally 5+ years working experience
- Ability to work to a high level of detail and accuracy with strong commercial awareness
- Confident and adept interpersonal skills
- Competent user of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
- Advanced negotiation skills and the ambition to further develop procurement skillset to an increased technical and strategic level
- Ability to work as part of a team and to lead or support cross functional improvement initiatives in a fast moving environment
