Zachary Daniels is delighted to be supporting this global leader in the consumer products market in their search for an Amazon Sales Director. Reporting directly to the Global Amazon Vice President, the Sales Director will lead our client's Amazon UK, Germany and France business, owning strategy, execution and outcomes.
Managing a team of 4 direct reports, you will be expected to personally drive performance, not purely oversee it from a distance. This is a role with real ownership, a true business leadership position with a business with an appetite for change. You'll operate at significant scale and complexity, with accountability that will stretch even experienced Amazon leaders and give you the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact.
With high exposure to global leadership, you will directly influence growth strategy across the UK and Europe, in a role where delivery is recognised and rewarded.
The Role
This role is for a proven Amazon growth leader who has already owned and delivered a £100m+ Amazon business and is ready to do it again with full P&L accountability.
What you will be accountable for:
- Delivering Growth: Own and deliver the annual sales and profit plan across Amazon UK, DE and FR.
- Full P&L Ownership: Absolute accountability for revenue, margin and profitability across UK & Europe.
- Leading the Amazon Relationship: Own senior vendor relationships, negotiations and annual terms - no escalation safety net.
- Execution Excellence: Build and deliver joint business plans that translate strategy into measurable results.
- Commercial Control: Lead pricing, promotions and trade decisions in partnership with Finance and Brand teams.
- Conversion Obsession: Direct content and keyword strategy to drive conversion through constant testing and optimisation.
- Data-First Decision Making: Own performance dashboards and analysis, turning insight into action at pace.
- Forecasting & Availability: Partner with supply chain teams to maximise availability without compromising working capital.
- People Leadership: Lead, develop and performance-manage 4 direct reports, setting a high bar for delivery.
- Organisational Influence: Act as the internal authority on Amazon, challenging thinking and raising capability across the business.
About you:
- 7+ years leading a large-scale 1P Amazon business
- Demonstrable ownership of £100m+ annual Amazon revenue
- Proven track record of delivering growth in complex, high-volume environments
- Highly commercial, analytical and financially astute - confident owning a P&L
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and solutions
- Comfortable making tough calls and holding teams to account
- Advanced Excel and data analytics capability; BI tools experience essential (CIQ a plus)
- Strong communicator who can influence Amazon and internal stakeholders at senior level
