A high-growth, PE-backed international logistics group is seeking an exceptional Accountant to join their London-based finance function during a period of significant transformation and expansion. With strong financial backing and a pan-European footprint, the company is undergoing transformation and expansion, offering an exciting environment for finance professionals looking to grow and make an impact.
The Accountant will support both the day-to-day accounts payable function and the monthly management accounting cycle for multiple group entities. The role works closely with the Group Financial Accountant and interacts across Finance, Operations, and occasionally with external stakeholders. This position is ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
- Manage accounts payable for group entities including invoice processing, payment runs, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and assist in short-term cash flow planning.
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and analytical review.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for group entities.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives under guidance of the Group Financial Accountant.
- Provide support on ad hoc finance projects, board pack prep, audit assistance, and query resolution.
Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a background in accounts payable and exposure to management accounts preparation. Industry background flexible; strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting under IFRS. Mid-level Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups); familiarity with Sage, Bright Analytics, or Blue10 a plus (training provided). Self-motivated and able to manage workload with minimal supervision.
