Production Merchandiser
Fashion Wholesale | Production | Merchandising | Fast-Paced & Hands-On
East London up to £32k plus benefits.
If you're a Production Merchandiser who loves seeing a product journey through from PO to warehouse, this could be a great opportunity to join a growing fashion business where no two days are the same. This is a hands-on role where you'll be right at the heart of the product and production process - working closely with Design, Buying, Sales, suppliers and warehouses to make sure the right product arrives, at the right time and at the right margin.
What you'll be doing
- You'll take ownership of the production process from start to finish, raising purchase orders with factories for stock garments and managing everything through to final delivery into the warehouse.
- Day to day, you'll be:
- Raising and managing POs and tracking production from order through to delivery
- Preparing range plans and keeping product information accurate and up to date
- Working closely with factories and suppliers, building strong relationships and negotiating where needed
- Approving fabrics, trims, colours and samples
- Managing the full sampling process and coordinating samples and parcels coming into the merchandising team
- Monitoring production timelines, shipping lead times and delivery dates
- Working cross-functionally with Design, Buying and Sales to keep everyone aligned
- Supporting customer accounts with accurate product information
- Coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure smooth deliveries
- Keeping a close eye on margins, costs and commercial performance
- Using Excel and internal systems to track product, inventory and production
- Spotting issues early, finding solutions and keeping things moving!
What we're looking for
- We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys getting things done.
- You'll ideally have experience within fashion wholesale, merchandising or production, with a good understanding of how product moves from initial development through to delivery.
- You'll need:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working in Excel
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple product lines, suppliers and deadlines at once
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal teams, customers and suppliers
- An understanding of margins, production and shipping lead times
- Experience using ERP, inventory or merchandising systems would be a bonus
- A proactive, hands-on approach - you're someone who sees a problem and gets stuck into solving it
- A positive mindset and genuine team spirit
- The ability to build strong relationships across the business and with external partners
- Flexibility and adaptability - you're happy to roll your sleeves up and help wherever needed
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, wants to make things happen and enjoys being close to the product. If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact, work across the whole product journey and continue developing your merchandising and production career, we'd love to hear from you.
