JUNIOR MERCHANDISER | MANCHESTER | INTERNATIONAL BRAND | CIRCA £35,000

These guys are one of the biggest retailers, not only in the UK but internationally and with that, they\’re making market leaders watch their backs. After almost 10 years of trading, they\’re now on the look out for a Junior Merchandiser to come and join the business.

THE JUNIOR MERCHANDISER ROLE:

  • You will be owning your owning categories as a Junior Merchandiser
  • As the Junior Merchandiser you will be fully accountable for the trading of your areas
  • Own all Monday trade reporting, top line notes, and ability to highlight key actions and follow up accordingly with wider team
  • Action rebuys, phasing and cancellations on the back of trade
  • Work into newness options for the week with your buyer, optimising OTB
  • Actively involved with WSSI management along with mentoring Assistant Merchandisers\’s & MAA\’s with data dumps and actualised sales updates
  • As a Junior Merchandiser you must have the ability to forecast and plan new lines or volume programmes at the start of each season, whilst monitoring throughout the season and managing stock vs sales
  • Protect line cards at all times
  • Attend all range builds at the start of the season with your with Buyer
  • Ability to trade weekly, with spotting the opportunity of \”quick wins\”
  • Set clear strategies ahead of each trading period on what sales will be achieved, along with how
  • Work with your buyer to work to the department critical path – especially around seasonality and peak selling windows
  • Actively protect and plan for black friday & other key launch dates
  • Review pricing architectures regularly with buying counterparts
  • Be mindful of the competition and all promotional activity you wish to implement with the trading teams, along with Mark Downs
  • Proactively develop and mentor an Assistant Merchandiser and other junior members
  • Delegate workload fairly and effectively with junior members of the team
