The Company
I'm working with a long-standing client of mine, an international consumer goods business that's continuing to grow across global markets.
As they expand, they're looking to add another person to a close-knit team that plays a key role in keeping customers, suppliers and internal teams connected.
It's a business I've recruited for over a number of years and one where people genuinely enjoy working.
The culture is collaborative, there's a real buzz around the office and people tend to build long-term careers because they enjoy the variety, the people and the opportunities to grow.
The Opportunity
If you enjoy spinning lots of plates, solving problems and being the person who brings everything together, this could be a great fit.
You’ll work closely with customers, colleagues in the US, manufacturing partners in Asia and teams across Sales, Planning and Supply Chain to make sure orders run smoothly from purchase through to delivery.
It’s a busy role with lots of moving parts, but that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
You’ll have exposure to different areas of the business, get involved in projects beyond your day‑to‑day responsibilities and play a part in a function that’s continuing to evolve.
The hiring manager isn’t looking for someone to simply keep things ticking over.
She’s looking for someone who’s curious, enjoys asking questions, likes finding solutions and wants to contribute to the way the team continues to develop.
The Role
Day to day you’ll be
- Managing customer orders from purchase order through to delivery.
- Coordinating purchasing with overseas manufacturing partners.
- Working closely with Sales, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitoring production and resolving issues before they become bigger problems.
- Building relationships with customers and responding to account queries.
- Supporting forecasting, planning and wider commercial operations.
- Understanding that different customers have different processes and requirements.
- Finding practical solutions when production, timings or minimum order quantities create challenges.
- Looking for ways to improve processes and make things work better.
- The Person
- We’re open to people from a range of backgrounds. You might currently be working as an:
- International Sales Coordinator
- Buying Assistant or Buying Coordinator
- Customer Supply Chain Coordinator
- Sales Operations Coordinator
Equally, you might come from Merchandising or Demand Planning and be looking to move into a broader, more commercially focused role.
What’s important is the way you approach your work.
You’ll enjoy solving problems, building relationships and working across different teams.
You’ll be organised, naturally curious and happy working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can change.
Experience within consumer goods would be beneficial, particularly if you’ve worked with products manufactured in Asia, but attitude, commercial awareness and a willingness to learn are just as important.
If you’re looking for a role where you’ll be trusted, challenged and given the opportunity to grow, I’d love to hear from you.
