Zachary Daniels are working exclusively with a retail fashion business that distributes some of the world's biggest brands. The Global Logistics Manager will coordinate the movement of products around the world. This is a brand new role so you will get the opportunity to make a real impact from the outset.
Role Overview: As a Head of International Logistics, you will oversee the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across borders. You'll work with teams across sourcing, production, finance, and distribution to ensure timely delivery while optimising logistics processes and maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Logistics Management: Oversee the international shipping process, from warehousing and distribution to working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure smooth import/export operations by staying on top of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and up-to-date documentation across all regions.
- Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Manage inventory levels and order fulfilment processes with warehousing partners, ensuring efficient product flow across markets.
- Vendor & Partner Relations: Negotiate contracts, improve service quality, and address any operational challenges with logistics providers to meet performance goals.
- Cost Optimisation: Manage the logistics budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and streamline transportation to hit financial targets without sacrificing service quality.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with teams in production, sourcing, and customer service to ensure logistics aligns with business needs and market demands.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, leveraging data to enhance supply chain performance and identify areas for efficiency gains.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in international logistics, preferably in apparel or consumer goods, with experience managing supply chains across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the UK/Australia.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of international logistics, customs regulations, ERP systems (SAP), strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
