My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries. There is the rare opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their well established site and team in Fife. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the purchasing team in ensuring efficient and cost effective operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supervision of Buyers ensuring full compliance with company and department procedures
  • Maintain Purchasing Performance metrics and Monitor Supplier Performance metrics, taking action where appropriate
  • Set individual development plans and give performance feedback to reporting buyers
  • Liaise with suppliers, internal departments and internal customers
  • Assure well-formed Purchase Orders and purchasing documentation are created
  • Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring progress both financially and in respect of service levels

Experience & Education Required:

  • Business and/or Purchasing related qualification
  • Significant experience in supervisory role
  • Extensive experience in purchasing
  • Working experience of inventory ordering and control

Please note: Working hours are Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30. This is an on-site role.
