We are partnering with a fast growing online retail business to recruit a Digital Trader & Merchandiser. This is an exciting opportunity to join a commercially driven ecommerce team where trading performance, customer experience and data led decision making sit at the heart of the business. The Digital Trader & Merchandiser will play a key role in driving onsite performance across multiple product categories, supporting trading strategy and ensuring products are positioned to maximise conversion, margin and revenue.
The Digital Trader & Merchandiser is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace, analysing performance and making real time improvements to drive results. You will take ownership of onsite trading and merchandising across key categories, using data, insight and customer behaviour to optimise performance. Working cross functionally, you will ensure campaigns land effectively, products are visible and the customer journey is seamless. This role suits someone who is commercially minded, detail focused and confident working in a fast moving ecommerce environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of online trading and merchandising across key product categories
- Optimise onsite customer journeys to improve conversion and user experience
- Manage category structure, product sequencing, filters and taxonomy
- Own promotional execution onsite, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on time
- Monitor and analyse performance across key ecommerce KPIs including sales, conversion, AOV and margin
- Use data to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive continuous improvement
- Work closely with teams across marketing, buying, operations and digital to deliver trading plans
- Support SEO activity and onsite optimisation to improve visibility and traffic
- Conduct competitor analysis across pricing, product and promotional activity
- Align merchandising with seasonal trends, demand and product availability
- Support homepage and onsite builds in collaboration with design and development teams
What We're Looking For
- Experience within ecommerce trading, merchandising or a digital retail environment
- Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs and how to influence performance
- Confident analysing data and using insight to drive decisions
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to test, learn and improve
- Experience with analytics tools, Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with platforms such as SAP or similar would be beneficial
- Exposure to SEO or working with external agencies is advantageous
