About the Opportunity:
This is not a typical Ecommerce Manager role. It is a rare opportunity for someone with strong hands‑on DTC ecommerce experience who wants genuine ownership within a growing brand. We are a profitable gym wear brand founded in 2013 with zero debt, low overheads, and a strong foundation for future growth. As the founder steps back from day‑to‑day operations, we are looking for someone capable of taking a leading role in driving the business forward. This position would suit a commercially minded ecommerce professional who enjoys working across trading, growth, operations, and business strategy within an entrepreneurial environment.
The Role:
This role combines Ecommerce Management with broader business leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with the founder and play a key role in scaling the brand and overseeing day‑to‑day business performance. The primary focus is ecommerce trading and growth, alongside operational management and commercial decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise the Shopify store and ecommerce performance
- Drive online revenue growth through trading decisions and performance analysis
- Identify opportunities across marketing, partnerships, retail, and customer acquisition
- Monitor KPIs, customer behaviour, and sales performance to improve profitability
- Support the long‑term ecommerce and brand growth strategy
- Work closely with the founder on strategic direction and execution
- Support team coordination and day‑to‑day management
- Help shape processes, structure, and future scaling plans
- Take ownership across multiple areas of the business
- Oversee operational tasks and business organisation
- Manage invoices and basic financial administration
- Handle day‑to‑day business communications and administrative duties
- Ensure smooth coordination across the business
About You:
You will likely come from a DTC ecommerce background, ideally within sports, fitness, apparel, or lifestyle brands. You are commercially aware, hands‑on, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑moving business. You enjoy balancing strategy with execution and are motivated by the opportunity to help scale a growing brand. This role is best suited to someone entrepreneurial and adaptable who thrives in a smaller business environment and enjoys working closely with a founder.
Requirements:
- Shopify experience
- Experience with ecommerce systems and tools
- Background in DTC ecommerce
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
- Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
- General management capability
- A‑Level or equivalent
- Based within commuting distance of Chorley
Nice to Have:
- Experience running your own business or side hustle
- Experience within early‑stage or scaling brands
- Background in sportswear, fitness, or lifestyle sectors
This is a high‑impact opportunity offering real ownership, autonomy, and the chance to play a key role in scaling an established and growing ecommerce brand.
