Working for one of the most recognisable retailers in the UK with one of the best merchandising functions in the country, this is a great opportunity for an experienced merchandiser to strengthen their CV by getting this brand on there! You will be working on one of my client's premier categories, leading a small team. You will have opportunity for continued development and real progression potential.
Responsibilities:
- Forecasting stock within inventory plans with the support of junior members of your team.
- Balancing pricing, risk profile and category, supplier profiles, colour, and mixes throughout all product ranges each season.
- Build and implement WSSI & OTB management to ensure sales and stock targets are achieved.
- Identifying best sellers and move on's that the team need to focus on to generate new sales.
- Review product and supplier mixes with your Buyer to ensure that the right product, quality and designs are being brought into the business.
- Building strategy, lessons learnt and weekly trade packs for the wider team, whilst being confident in presenting your suggestions and actions to senior management.
- Establish a consistent pricing architecture across your ranges whilst being mindful of the competition and any promotional activity you wish to implement.
- Manage the range in conjunction with the Head of Merchandising, along with the Buying & Design team ensuring that the best product is being brought into the business.
- Conduct market specific promotions and activity to grow the business, providing autonomy within a merchandising function.
- Analysing and collating data to provide support to the team in decision making.
- Constantly monitor and review online performance in order to maximise profit.
- Responsible for monthly re-forecast whilst feeding back key actions to the Senior and Head of Merchandising.
- Reviewing your cover each week and making commercial decisions about getting new product or repeats into the business.
- Being a motivating line manager who is approachable to all junior colleagues.
