We are very proud to be exclusively be working with our client who is an exciting, SME Retailer. As an experienced Assistant Management Accountant, you'll be joining a bubbly, close-knit SME where collaboration and curiosity are key. The Senior Finance Manager is passionate about training, development and helping people grow, so this is the perfect environment if you're studying your AAT, or working towards CIMA / ACCA and want to build hands-on experience in management accounts.

This is a role where attitude really matters. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, learning new things and eager to develop.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing weekly contribution reports and analysing performance vs. budgetSupporting the month-end process – journals, accruals, prepayments

• Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Managing fixed assets and assisting with depreciation and ONS reporting

• Cash reconciliations across multiple sales platforms (e.g. Amazon)

• Taking ownership of customer carriage costs, flash reporting, and variance analysis

• Supporting cash flow forecasting, VAT returns, and year-end audit

• Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and continuous process improvement

What we're looking for

• Studying AAT or part-qualified CIMA / ACCA

• Strong bank recs and attention to detail

• Positive, can-do attitude with a genuine team focus

• Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI or Dynamics 365 would be a bonus (but. not essential!)
